Privacy Policy

NeuroTasks ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. It applies to neurotasks.io and the NeuroTasks application at app.neurotasks.io.

1. What we collect

Email address — when you join the waitlist via the form on our landing page. Stored by our email provider, Buttondown.
Account data — if you sign in to the app: name, email, and Google account ID provided by Firebase Authentication.
Task data — tasks, projects, classifications and timestamps you create inside the app, stored in Google Firestore (EU region).
Anonymous usage analytics — page views, scroll depth, language and waitlist sign-ups via Vercel Analytics. No cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
Language preference cookie (nt-lang) — strictly necessary, stores your selected language for 24 hours. No tracking purpose.

2. What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
We do not access the content of your tasks for any purpose other than syncing them to your devices.

3. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

We process your email under consent (you submit the waitlist form). We process app data under contract (you sign in to use the service). Analytics is processed under legitimate interest in measuring aggregate landing performance, with no personal identifiers.

4. Data location

Firestore data is stored in the European Union (Google Cloud eur3 region). Buttondown is hosted in the United States and is GDPR-compliant via Standard Contractual Clauses. Vercel hosting and analytics run on global edge infrastructure.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of processing. Email hello@neurotasks.io and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Retention

Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe. App data: until you delete your account. We will provide an in-app delete option before public launch.

7. Children

NeuroTasks is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email.
